On a mostly cloudy day, Chelsi and Michael had the sweetest intimate wedding at the gorgeous Carmel Mission Basilica. Close friends and family from different states, came to see two incredible people get married. My favorite moment was right after ceremony and Chelsi & Michael were walking out of the Basilica with the biggest smiles on their faces. The grounds at the Carmel Mission Basilica are absolutely gorgeous! The peachy pink adobe walls, Spanish architecture, and gardens, we explored the gorgeous property for their portraits.
The Carmel Mission was the second mission built by Franciscan missionaries in Upper California. Father Junipero Serra founded the Carmel Mission in 1770. The beautiful church, constructed of sandstone and stucco still stands today. The Mission Carmel is a quintessential Monterey Bay and Carmel historical site. As such, it’s super special to get married there no matter the size if your wedding. As a Carmel wedding photographer it is always such a please to shoot at this iconic spot!
