Did we just fly to Italy? It definitely looks like it. Nestled in beautiful Paso Robles is CaliPaso Winery. It’s an intimate boutique style hotel with Tuscan flavor and a romantic courtyard perfect for wedding receptions. It was the perfect setting for Laura and JP’s wedding. I loved being able to capture all of Laura’s beautiful wedding details, especially her shoes!
Laura and JP had a traditional Mass ceremony at Mission San Miguel. The Mission has this awesome balcony, so I sent my 2nd shooter up there to capture this beautiful shot of the ceremony.
JP surprised everyone when he picked up Laura when we walked out of the Mission!
The front of the Mission was the perfect place to take bridal party photos! The light was perfect and I just love the blush bridesmaid dresses, so feminine and soft.
We spent a little time exploring the grounds of the Mission while everyone headed to Calipaso.
The courtyard at Calipaso is absolutely stunning! I really love how Laura designed the reception. After photos, the AMAZING mariachi got the party started!
This is one of my favorite photos (I gifted them with this print) when Laura put some icing on JP’s nose! Just look at those smiles in this genuine moment. I love it so much!
Laura and JP had “El Baile de la Vibora”/The Snake Dance. This is a Mexican wedding tradition that takes place during the reception. This will be done twice: once with all of the ladies and again with all of the men. JP holds Laura’s veil which will act as a bridge between the two as guests run underneath and around the reception area. It ends with a bouquet and garter toss!
Right before leaving I took these two into the vineyard for some sunset portraits, easily my favorite moment of the entire day.
One of Laura’s cousins asked if I wanted a photo as I was hugging them goodbye and I of course said yes! It’s so rare that I get a photo with my couple and I’m so grateful!
